CoAS Gurung, who led a four member delegation, had left for US visit on March 26. Gurung was inducted in the International Officer´s Hall of Fame at the Command and Staff College, Fort Leaverworth, Kansas.
Gurung takes pride to the fifth army chief to be inducted in the much coveted Hall of Fame and third official from the South Asian countries. He had completed the Command and General Staff Course from the college in 1985/86, along with other 99 international officers from 62 countries around the globe.

Among others, Gurung held meeting with B Lynn Pascoe, the UN Under Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Susana Malcorra, Under Secretary General for Department of Field Support, at the at the UN headquarters.
