KATHMANDU, March 11: Air travel to the West Asia region, which had been suspended for twelve days, has now partially resumed.
Santushta Kumar Basnet, the spokesperson for Tribhuvan International Airport, reported that international airlines have begun limited operations after monitoring the situation for five days.
The suspension of flights began on February 28 due to safety concerns for passengers following the outbreak of war against Iran. Consequently, several international flights from Nepal were also canceled for the same reasons.

In light of the conflict, airlines from UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Bahrain have opted to close their airspace.
Spokesperson Basnet noted that some airlines have resumed partial operations as conditions in West Asia have improved. "Some flights have been partially resumed based on the information that flights would operate the day before or not," he stated, mentioning that Air Arabia and Fly Dubai are among the airlines that have initiated partial flights.
Additionally, Himalaya Airlines has also commenced partial flights to Dubai over the past four days. The airline reports that approximately 100 passengers are traveling daily.
