The OPMCM further said the probe team led by DSP Raut reached the Phujel-7 of Gorkha, permanent village of Krishna Prasad Adhikari- son of Nanda Prasad Adhikari and Ganga Maya- and garnered facts and information from the locals as per the recommendation and written directive of the National Human Rights Commission. Additional investigation on the incident is continued, said a press statement released by the OPMCM.
Similarly, the government has urged the agitating Adhikari couple (Nanda Prasad and Ganga Maya) to quit the hunger strike and remain attentive for justice.
The government also requested the NHRC, political parties, human rights defenders, legal practitioners, journalists, civil society and other concerned to make efforts form their sides to make the agitating Adhikari couple quit the strike.
