3 held with cash and valuables

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Police have arrested three people from Nayanbazaar, Kathmandu on the charge of stealing cash and valuables from capital-based saving and credits cooperatives.

The arrested are Subas Pokharel, 21, of Dhading Sunaul Bazaar, Arjun Nepali, 18, of Dhading Jyamrung VDC-4, and Dipak Gajurel, 17, of Nuwakot. They were currently staying at Nayanbazaar in Kathmandu.


Police have also recovered cash in various denominations, and valuables including laptop, mobile sets, ornaments, camera sets, worth around Rs 9, 45, 105.

Based on complaints from various saving and cooperatives, a police squad deployed from Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Kathmandu arrested the trio on September 27 and handed them over to Metropolitan Police Range Office, Teku for necessary action.
