CPN UML Leader KP Sharma Oli and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, HE Dr Neem Chandra Bhaumik jointly inaugurated the fair.
“Those students who wish to pursue MBBS or BDS in Bangladesh and BE and BSC Nursing in India are the major targets of this fair,” said Rameshwor Raj Mishra, Business Development Officer at GECC.
“A large number of students are attracted to Bangladesh and India these days, and this is the right platform for them to get all the information they need,” he added.

The fair is targeted at those students who have just appeared in HSEB/INTER and Bachelor-level examinations.
“Students can get information directly from the colleges through face-to-face interactions,” said Raju Khan, Director of GECC. “Bangladesh is a cheap and one of the best places to go for Nepali students,” he added. He also informed that about 300 students go to Bangladesh every year to pursue studies in medicine.
“I’ve come here to know about colleges in Bangladesh and India,” said Pukar Aryal, 19, a student. “I’m looking for engineering colleges here.” He has found out that colleges in Bangladesh and India are better than Nepal.
The organizers informed that there are over 50 colleges and more than 100 career options available at the fair.
Crystal Events Management is managing the fair this year.
Entry to the fair is free. The fair will continue till August 13 from 10 AM to 6 PM.
