DHANGADHI, June 21: At least 24 people were injured after a passenger bus met with an accident in Bajura district on Saturday morning.
The bus, operated by Pawan Dutta Transportation and bearing registration number Su Pra 02-001 Kha 1355, crashed near Ritha Bazaar in Budhiganga Municipality-10, according to police.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Navaraj Karki, chief of the Province Traffic Police Office, Attariya, said that 24 passengers were injured in the accident.
Of the injured, 23 have been taken to the District Hospital, Bajura, for treatment, while one person has been referred to Bayalpata Hospital in Achham.
A total of 35 passengers were travelling on the bus. Police said the accident occurred after the bus reportedly suffered brake failure. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
