Administrative officer Bhojananda Rai won the excellence award under the administrative service while boxing coach Dambar Dutta Bhatta of Kanchanpur District Sports Development Committee won the same honor in the coaching service category. Both of them received Rs 25,000 each along with letter of appreciation.
Administrative officer of Nepal Sports Science Academy Ananta Devi Khanal and taekwondo assistant coach of Lalitpur District Sports Development Committee, Badri Prasad Ghimire, were feted with the best award under the administrative and training sections respectively. Both of them were given Rs 15,000 each.
Similarly, Harka Bahadur Rai, Nayab Subba of Gorkha District Sports Development Committee, and lawn tennis coach Renu Devi Konda were awarded with NSC service award under the administrative and training sections. They were given Rs 10,000 each.
Meanwhile, the NSC also feted 12 employees, who have completed 25 years of service at the NSC, with long-term service award. Administrative officer Om Nath Neupane, deputy director Bidhya Sagar Pokharel, officer Keshari Chitrakar, section officers Dasharath Sapkota and Raju Shrestha, lawn tennis coach Renuka Konda, Nayab Subba Julum Giri, Bhawani Adhikari, Gambhir Man Tuladhar, office assistants Badri Kumar Khatri, Gyan Bhakta Maharjan and Ratna Bahadur Magaju were feted with the award. Each of them were given letter of appreciation.
Similarly, Kul Bahadur Thapa, acting departmental chief of the administration section, and driver (Nayab Subba) Surya Bahadur Shrestha were presented with the service award for completing 20 years of service. They received letter of appreciation.
Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Paudel and NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista presented the awards to the winners during the function organized on the NSC premises in Tripureshwar.
Nagarik scribe Tuladhar feted
National Sports Council (NSC) on Monday feted Dhruba Tuladha, senior sports journalist of Nagarik Dainik, sister publication of Republica Daily during a program organized to mark its 52nd anniversary.

Tuladhar who is also the vice president of Nepal Sports Journalist Forum (NSJF), the umbrella organization of sports journalist of Nepal, was presented with a letter of appreciation and cash prize of Rs 5,000. Along with Tuladhar, NSJF Secretary Mahesh Acharya and member Prajeet Shakya were also feted on the same occasion.
Similarly, photo journalist Rajendra Chitrakar was also felicitated. All of them received Rs 5000 each and letter of appreciation from Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Paudel and NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista.
