Zinc sheets distributed to pottery artisans

KATHMANDU, July 30: Federation of Handicrafts Associations of Nepal (FHAN) has distributed corrugated zinc sheets to construct workshops for quake-hit pottery artisans of Thimi and Bhaktapur.



According to a press release issued by the federation, zinc sheets with distributed with support from World Craft Council, Australia. The federation distributed zinc sheets to 24 families.

"Each family received two bundles of zinc sheets to begin their work as their houses and work places have been damaged by the quake," the release added.


Hem Ratna Shakya, president of FHAN, Puskar Man Shakya, past president of FHAN, and president of World Craft Council-South Asia jointly handed over the sheets to the artisans, according to the release.
