Youth team gets cash incentives

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association provided Rs 25,000 each to all the members of Second SAFF U-16 Championship on Thursday. The youth team had finished runner up in the tournament that concluded on Tuesday at the Dasharath Stadium after going down 1-0 against India in the final. [break]



ANFA Vice President Lalit Krishna Shrestha gave away cash prizes to all the 27 members of the team. The team includes 23 players, coaches Bal Gopal Maharjan, Sunil Shrestha and Mrigendra Mishra and physiotherapist Raju Dahal. The youth team will start training for AFC U-16 Qualifiers from August 11.



 The qualifiers is scheduled to be held from September 25 in Kathmandu. Nepal is pitted in group C along with Iran, Bahrain and Turkmenistan.
