YAN cadres involved in court attack held

BIRATNAGAR, Jan 11: Morang Police on Tuesday arrested two absconding cadres of CPN-UML affiliated Youth Force who were involved in attacking inmate Abhisek Giri inside Morang district court premises. The arrested are Manoj Khadka and Alice Gurung.



Khadka and Gurung were wanted for the attack on June 1, 2011 and had been absconding for the past seven months. [break]



Chief of Morang Police SP Pradumna Karki said a special police team nabbed Khadka from Bargachhi and Gurung from Janapath Tole. The two have been taken in remand for seven days for investigation.



Police had arrested just two persons involved in the attack and eight more including the mastermind of attack on our correspondet Khilanath Dhakal Parshuram Basnet are still at large.



The attack had left Giri with serious injuries. Giri is currently serving a jail term at Jhumka prison for the murder of Karan Yadav.
