Filing the writ, advocates duo Raj Kumar Rana and Dayaram Humagain have accused the private schools of creating aberrations with malpractices rife in the educational sector while the government schools are receiving less and less number of students. A stringent law was a must to regulate the private schools, they have argued in the petition.
The Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Education Ministry, Ministry of Law and Justice, Higher Secondary Education Board, and Higher Secondary Schools´ Association, Nepal have been named as defendants in the writ.
