A joint rescue team of Nepal Police, Israel, Norway and others rescued Khadka alive at 11:00pm with nine hours' untiring efforts.
Police Inspector Debi Prasad Poudel said Khadka, a resident from Jaynagar-6 of Bardiya district was trapped in the ground floor of the guesthouse. With the help of modern technical devices, the foreign rescue teams confirmed that people could be still alive into the derbies. Then the rescue operation continued which led to a success, he added.
Khadka was yelling into the debris which could be heard faintly during the rescue operation.
Horrified a lot, Khadka is undergoing treatment at Nepal Army Hospital of Chhauni, said Inspector Poudel. RSS
