District Police Office, Rautahat, said 22-year-old Sutani Devi of Pachrukhi of the district killed her 18-month-old daughter.
According to police, Sutani killed the kid by dashing her against ground, adding that the reason for the murder is yet to be established.
DSP Chandan Singh said that preliminary investigation suggests that the woman was suffering from mental illness, adding that they are investigating the case.
