We will write statute if mandate given: Pokharel

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: CPN-UML candidate of constituency-5, Kathmandu, and UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel has vehemently stated that his party will write constitution if the mandate is given to his party to lead the next Constituent Assembly (CA).



Speaking at a tea party and greeting exchange program organized by Bishnu Budhanilkantha Branch Committee in Kathmandu, Secretary Pokharel maintained that the federalism with a common identity will only consolidate nationality and national unity. [break]



Leader Pokharel further said he will not come back again to this constituency asking for people’s votes if the constitution is not written if after having people’s mandate to lead the next CA.



Electoral Regional Coordination Committee, Kathmandu constituency-5 of the CPN-UML formed a 1111-member Regional Mobilization Committee under the coordination of Narayan Silwal on Friday.



The state will ensure the rights of old people if the majority is given to the CPN-UML to lead the next government, Pokharel said amid a considerable number of people that had participated in the function.
