We will invest in hydropower: Lamichhane

MYAGDI, March 1: Chairperson of Non-resident Nepalis (NRN) Association, Jiba Lamichhane, has said the Association is ready to flow investment in hydropower sector if commerce-friendly environment exists in he country.



At a program organized to hand over ambulance to Nepal Red Cross Society, Darwang sub-branch under the Cultural Goodwill Program, Lamichhane further said, ´NRN is eager to invest in the hydropower having enormous potentials of development of the country but the income we generated abroad should be secured´. [break]



The program was organized by West Myagdi and MONA UK.



The country´s social-economic transformation could be contributed enough if more than 3 million Nepalis residing in over 60 countries were provided with opportunity and environment for investment, he stressed.



The Investment Year announced by the Nepal government could turn to be a success if favorable investment-friendly environment was made, Lamichhane added.
