Numbers of teams consisting of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and foreign army personnel have been mobilized in all six municipalities of Bhaktapur district to pull down the at-risk houses.
Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) of Metropolitan Police Range Bhaktapur Shyam Krishna Adhikari said that the security personnel have been assigned to collapse deteriorating house buildings in villages to avert possible accident from vulnerable structure.
He informed that the security personnel are pulling down 50 houses a day in average and more than 1,000 such houses are yet to be demolished in Bhaktapur.
It will still take some more days to complete the drive, he said, adding that the devastating quake had killed 314 folks in Bhaktapur. RSS
