VDC secretaries halt works

KAWASOTI, Nov 9: VDC Secretaries Welfare and Rights Protection Centre, Nawalparasi has announced to bring their works to a grinding halt from Wednesday demanding the release of their colleague.



The Centre had drawn its serious attention towards the incident of sending Shivamandir VDC secretary Khadka Bahadur Thanet to bar citing irregularities in the works of maintaining registers and records. [break]



It is regretful to put VDC secretary in detention all of a sudden in course of collecting evidence of a ward, stated a press release issued by the Centre Chairperson Chiranjibi Aryal and Secretary Rajendra Prasad Devkota.



Though the press release, the Centre has also urged the Local Body Employees Association to cooperate in this regard.



Service recipients are bearing the brunt of three-day strike announced by VDC secretaries in the district.
