KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Nepal crashed out of the AFC U-19 Championship Group A Qualifiers after a humiliating 5-0 defeat against Uzbekistan at the Al Arabi stadium in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday.

Nepal, which had lost 2-1 against Turkmenistan on Friday and 1-0 against India on Sunday, was no match for Uzbekistan as striker Shomurodov Eldor completed a hat-trick.

Nepal coach Raju Kaji Shakya rested goalkeeper Alan Neupane and gave the responsibility of guarding the post to Brijesh Singh. [break]

Uzbekistan put pressure on Nepal from the very beginning and Singh was helpless against the physically tough opponents. Mormurodov Najmiddin opened the scoring in the 14th minute as Singh could not stop his powerful free-kick.

Singh made another blunder in the 35th minute giving Eldor an easy opportunity to double his side´s lead. Singh made a poor clearance and Eldor pounced on the opportunity to score from the area.

Shortly after the interval, an Uzbekistan striker received a poor goal-kick taken by Singh forcing Biswas Shrestha to back-tackle the opponent. The 47th-minute incident added to Nepal´s misery as the referee sent off Shrestha and awarded a penalty to Uzbekistan. Davlatov Bobir scored from the spot for Uzbekistan´s third goal.

Alan Neupane replaced Singh in the 50th minute and made an acrobatic save a minute later.

However, Nepal conceded the fourth goal in the 62nd minute as Eldor netted his second. Eldor completed his hat-trick in the 71st minute with a shot that left goalkeeper Neupane clueless.

Nepali team toiled hard in the remaining period not to concede more goals.

Following the win, Uzbekistan leads the five-team Group A with six points from two matches. Nepal lies at the bottom after losing all three matches played so far.

Nepal will take on Qatar in its last match on Thursday.
