His party, as Chairman Yadav said, participated in the voting for the new prime minister in line with its policy for fighting for the rights from both parliament and street.
Talking to media persons before his meeting with party cadres Saturday, leader Yadav said they were sad by the use of non-political and non-parliamentarian languages in the letter sent by the government summoning the agitating parties for talks. The party responded to the government's letter in writing today, he said.
He demanded the government that it came up with its official views on the eight-point and 22-point agreements it signed earlier with the Madhes-centric parties.
He further said Nepali Congress’ proposal for giving the post of President to Mahantha Thakur, Chair of Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party, was just a propaganda aimed at cashing in on the Madhesh sentiments. Leader Thakur would not accept the post at present situation.
The United Democratic Front would sit for a meeting to decide on its participation in the election for the post of President, said Yadav whose party is also one of the members of the Front. RSS
