Issuing a statement, CG Automobiles -- the distributor of TVS bikes in Nepal -- said the the new design and styling has been incorporated in 2012 version of Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180. [break]The new breed of Apache is a cosmetic upgrade as no changes have been made to the engine or other technical specifications, said the statement.
The new version of Apache RTRs has unique LED pilot lamps that are activated on ignition which gives the motorcycle a beast like character in design. It comes with bigger tank, redesigned seat, side panel, crash guard, saree guard, mudguard and foot pegs.

"Chiseled and sharp tank shrouds constitute an innovative new aerodynamic package which helps reduce engine heat helping in enhancing durability," the statement, said, adding, "The bike sports a sculpted digital console with new muscled styling and race inspired carbon fiber cues. The new nocturnal comprehensive blue backlit display adds much more glow to the bike."
The new Apache RTR 160 comes in four dual tone colors green, red yellow and grey with black being the base. Likewise, the new Apache RTR 180 also comes in four white, yellow, grey and black while the ABS version will be available in white and black color.
The new Apache RTR 160 costs Rs 209,900 while the Apache RTR 180 has been priced at Rs 223,900.
