The report showed that out of that total, government offices' had Rs 37.4057 billion and organized institutions and committees had Rs 6.3138 billion in unsettled accounts.
President Ram Sharan Mahat, addressing a ceremony to mark 52nd anniversary of the OAG, had made public the report.
According to the report, at the end of the FY2013/14 unsettled accounts stood at Rs 273.120 billion. The report states that such dues are basically of various government offices. While such unsettled accounts of government offices was Rs 91 billion that of organized institutions and committees was Rs 45 billion.
Similarly, uncollected revenue, according to the report, was Rs 1 billion in FY2013/14. The report reads that unsettled accounts of ministries like Ministry of Physical Planning and Transport (MoPPT), Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD), Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Ministry of Defense (MoD) and Ministry of Finance (MoF) were comparatively higher. While MoPPT had Rs 5.4 billion in unsettled accounts during the period, MoFALD had 4 billion.
