Unique, Golden Peak in quarters

KATHMANDU, June 6: Unique and Golden Peak advanced into the quarterfinals under senior boys´ category in the First Bagmati Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Sunday.



Unique recorded a comfortable 57-30 win over Mount Glory riding on 23 points of Bivek Shrestha. Golden Peak had a narrow 48-45 win over Kathmandu Valley. Rakesh Shrestha contributed 23 points for Golden Peak. [break]



Likewise, Greenland, Gyan Niketan, Manjughosha, HIMS and Daffodil also made it through to the quarterfinals winning their respective matches. Greenland edged past TIA 43-32, Gyan Niketan beat Valley Public 48-42, Manjugoksa ousted Neric 64-53, HIMS outclassed Kathmandu Xavier 45-24 and Daffodil outplayed Prithivi 38-15.
