Pokharel who sustained injury on his chest is receiving treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, local NC leader Lok Prasad Sangraula informed. [break]
Pokharel is reported to be in critical condition.
The assailants arrived at Pokharel´s residence in Dulari-9 at around 8 pm and fled away in a motorcycle after firing bullets at him, sub inspector Dilip Khatiwada informed.
Police have intensified the search of the assailants.
