UML leaders demand CC meet to resolve intra-party disputes

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Central committee members of the ruling CPN (Unified Marxist-Leninist) have urged the party leadership to call its central committee meeting to resolve intra-party disputes that have surfaced in recent days. The members wrote to party chairman Jhala Nath Khanal on Thursday requesting him to convene the central committee meeting.



Recently, even top leaders including party chairman Khanal, vice chairmen and senior party leader KP Sharma Oli, among others, are engaged in spewing venom against each other in public over some party decisions.



Those demanding the central committee meeting are Arun Nepal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Rajendra Gautam, Dr Bijay Poudel and Yogesh Bhattarai.
