A UDMF meeting held at Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Chairman Mahanta Thakur's house on Monday concluded that Mahato's recent remarks have severely affected the Madhes protests.The Front has also decided to direct Mahato not to repeat such activities that could push the Madhes protests to tatters.
The UDMF also had a meeting in earlier today at Chairman Thakur's residence.
Mahato was not present in the meeting today. The press statement issued by the meeting has Mahato's name but the latter hasn't signed the document.
"The meeting was arranged as per our conversation with Mahato ji," UDMF leader Mahendra Yadav added, "However, he skipped the meeting."
He said that he has no idea why Mahato skipped the meeting today.
