UCPN (Maoist) picks Nanda Kishor Pun as Vice-President candidate

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: The standing committee (SC) meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) has decided to field party's leader Nanda Kishor Pun as candidate for the post of Vice President.

The SC meeting held at party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence in Lazimpat this morning decided to pick Pun as the party's candidate for the Vice-President, UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson Dinanath Sharma said.


It is said that Chairman Dahal proposed the name of Pun as the vice-president candidate to maintain a power balance in the party and the SC members seconded Dahal's proposal. RSS
