Shrestha also said that CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhya opined not to take part in the election until a consensus was forged in contents of the new constitution.

Chairman Dahal and leader Shrestha were present from the UCPN (Maoist) while Chairman Baidhya, Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa attended the dialogue from the CPN-Maoist.

However, UCPN (Maoist) leader Shrestha expressed confidence that consensus would be forged through the roundtable conference. He also reiterated that the CA election date should not be deferred.
