KATHMANDU, Jan 18: At a time when international communities are expressing serious concerns over human rights issues and the delay in completion of the peace process, the ruling UCPN (Maoist) on Friday held consultation with ambassadors of various countries on the latest political developments.

During the meeting held at Shangrila Hotel in the capital this morning, both the sides exchanged their views on a range of issues, including Nepal’s pending issues of peace and constitution making processes and the ongoing political stalemate. [break]

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal informed that his party put forth its view on contemporary issues, including the formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and failure to hold new elections.

“We exchanged our views during the meeting. I hope that today´s meeting has cleared confusions that were existing between us,” Dahal added.
