Two youths killed in Hetauda road accident

According to police, both the rider and pillion rider of a motorcycle (Na 43 Pa 221) died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle.

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Two people were killed in a road accident that occurred on Wednesday morning at Bastipur in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–19 along the East-West Highway.



According to police, both the rider and pillion rider of a motorcycle (Na 43 Pa 221) died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle.

The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Sanjit Syangtang and 18-year-old Amosh Thing, both from Raksirang Rural Municipality–1. Seriously injured in the collision, they were rushed to Chure Hill Hospital in Hetauda for treatment, where they died during treatment, police said.


The vehicle involved in the accident and its driver fled the scene immediately after the incident. The District Police Office, Makwanpur, said a search is underway to trace the absconding driver.
