Two killed in jeep–motorcycle collision in Kanchanpur

According to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, a Bolero jeep (Se 1 Ja 1405) heading from Mahendranagar towards Attariya collided with a motorcycle (Ma 2 Pa 3506) coming from the opposite direction.

MAHENDRANAGAR, March 12: Two people were killed after a jeep collided with a motorcycle on the Mahendranagar–Daiji section of the East–West Highway in Kanchanpur on Wednesday.



According to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, a Bolero jeep (Se 1 Ja 1405) heading from Mahendranagar towards Attariya collided with a motorcycle (Ma 2 Pa 3506) coming from the opposite direction.

The victims have been identified as 40-year-old Ram Luhar and 42-year-old Dansingh Dhami, both from Barakunda in Bhimdatta Municipality-1. The two were travelling on the motorcycle.


Police Inspector Birendra Thapa said the victims sustained serious injuries in the crash and died shortly afterwards.


Police have taken the jeep driver into custody for investigation, while further details about the incident are being looked into, according to the district police office.
