“Shot was fire at us,” Police Inspector Rampraka Chaudhary said, “Then, we too fired to contain the situation.”

Local administration had clamped an indefinite curfew at different areas of Gaur from 12 noon acting on information that United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and Muslim Front are planning to hold a mass assembly defying prohibitory zone.

According to Chief District Officer Madan Bhujel, they declared curfew from new bus park area to Gaur Custom office and Barhawa Bridge to Tikuliya.
