Two injured after two tandem gliders collided in Pokhara

POKHARA, March 23: Two persons, including a pilot have been injured after the two tandem gliders collided each other in the sky of Pokhara while landing on Monday.

The injured have been identified as Chet Prasad Neupane, 35, a pilot and Jhung Hui Lin, 25, a Chinese tourist, said Kaski Police Spokesperson, DSP Kedar Rajure.


Two gliders met with an accident 150 meters above the ground while landing.After the incident one glider just fell down the ground leaving two persons injured while another glider managed a safe landing.

Neupane, who sustained severe injuries at his knee was airlifted to the Grande International Hospital, Kathmndu for care. Lin, whose hand was broken is undergoing treatment at Pokhra-based Fishtail Hospital
