According to police, Finnish national Miksamul Manlsikka, 26, and Pemba Sherpa of Makalu, Sankhuwasbha went missing as they slipped at the North-West Camp of the tenth highest mountain of the world.
DSP Hira Bahadur Giri and the District Police Office, Myagdi quoting Rajesh Maharjan, contact officer of Department of Tourism, said the duo had left Kathmandu on March 3 along with 13 other mountaineers.

“We have received information that they travelled through the district,” he said, “A chopper has been mobilized for search operation.”
Police informed that a team of mountaineers is also searching the missing climbers, adding that they are facing difficulties owing to high altitude.
