Two fugitives who fled during Gen Z movement arrested

A team from the Central Investigation Bureau apprehended the two suspects, who had been absconding in cases related to rape and forgery of government documents, and made them public on Friday.

KATHMANDU, March 13: Nepal Police have arrested two individuals who had been on the run during the Gen Z movement.



A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) apprehended the two suspects, who had been absconding in cases related to rape and forgery of government documents, and made them public on Friday.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 30-year-old Numesh Waiba of Panchpokhari in Sindhupalchok and 41-year-old Nawaraj Luintel of Barahapokhari in Khotang.


According to CIB spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiva Kumar Shrestha, Waiba was arrested on charges of rape, while Luintel was arrested for forging government documents and signatures.


Waiba had been absconding from the Central Jail in Sundhara, while Luintel had been on the run from the Kathmandu District Court. Police said Waiba was arrested from Swayambhu and Luintel from Basundhara.
