Two die of excessive heat in Butwal

BUTWAL, June 16: Two people died in Lumbini Zonal Hospital on Friday during their treatment due to excessive heat.



Manakala Aryal, 62, of Rudrapur, Rupandehi and Patthu Tharu, 40, of Murgiya, Parroha- 1, died during treatment after falling ill from sweltering heat, said Medical Record Officer of the hospital, Laxmiraj Regmi. [break]



According to Regmi, two more are undergoing treatment and three others are referred to elsewhere for further treatment.



Earlier, of the 14 fallen ill due to heat two weeks ago, Surya Gurung of Bara had died and Krishna Bahadur Rana of Dhading had died on way for further treatment.



The Zonal Hospital has recommended cold water treatment, and drinking of enough cold water to protect oneself from the scorching heat.
