TU eased past Lalitpur by six wickets and Kathmandu had a comfortable seven-wicket win over Bhaktapur in another match. [break]
Following the 118-run target set by Lalitpur, TU made 121 in 17.4 overs at the cost of four wickets. Man-of-the-match Ujjwal Thapa smashed 41 off 48 with six boundaries for TU and Gokul Joshi hit 38 in 26 balls with eighth fences.
Earlier, Sandeep Yadav (19), Sudhir Maharjan (18), Pawan Shrestha (17), Prasanna Shakya (12) were the batsmen to reach double figures for Lalitpur who lost all the wickets in 20 overs. Sudip Sharma claimed four scalps of Lalitpur.
In another match, electing to bat first Bhaktapur hit 106 runs losing all the wickets with one ball to spare against Kathmandu. Prabin Joshi hit 21 and Girish Sharma 19 runs for Bhaktapur. Prafulla Baidya, who was declared man-of-the-match, hauled three wickets of Bhaktapur.
Following the run chase, opening batsman Paresh Lohani of Kathmandu hit unbeaten 51 runs as they achieved the target in 14.1 overs losing three wickets. Lohani struck eight fences in 41 balls while Baidya hit unbeaten 27 off 22 deliveries with four boundaries.
