As per the agreement, ICCR in consultation with TU shall appoint a suitable Indian academician to hold the ICCR chair for a period of two years, said a statement from the Embassy.
During the period, the visiting Professor will contribute to the academic life of the University by teaching, mentoring and conducting research. The chair would commence from October 2010 and will continue till October 2012.
Vice Chancellor of TU Professor Dr Madhab Prasad Sharma and Indian Ambassador Rakesh Sood signed the memorandum amidst a program in Kathmandu on Friday.
The establishment of the chair is part of Government of India´s ongoing cooperation with the TU.
