Likewise, Pradeep Kumar Shrestha won the trophy for net score with 40 points and Sumod Bastakoti became runner-up with 37 points in count back. Shrestha who hit four birdies also won the prize for most birdies. Hee-ok Lim was ladies winner of the tournament as she left Nam-ok Hee behind in count back.
South Korean ambassador to Nepal Sung Mog Hong was best golfer among ambassadors in the tournament. Hong scored 29 points to win the trophy. Krishna Narayan Singh Thapa won the veterans title of the tournament scoring 34 points. Golfers above 65 years age were slated in the category.
Meanwhile, Indu Gandhi stood winner of the ladies category while Nimmi Dhanoa became runner-up. Altogether 68 golfers, including six women, participated in the tournament organized by Indian Embassy and supported by Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd.
Indian ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood handed over the prizes to the winners and claimed that the tournament has turned into a tradition after its 35-year long history.
“This tradition will continue in the golfing calendar and social calendar of Kathmandu in days to come,” said Sood.
