Base Footwear - the manufacturer of BF Dear Hill shoes -- has introduced more than 30 new varieties sandals for men. [break]
Hom Nath Upadhyay, managing director of Base Footwear, said the new leather sandals are light and comfortable and have been designed as per the demand of customers. He also said the demand for Nepali sandals is growing at the rate of 15 percent.
The new range of FB Dear Hill sandals are available in four different colors and are priced between Rs 500 and Rs 1,500.
“We´ve introduced new collection to meet the growing demand for locally made footwear,” Upadhyay said, adding: “People have realized that domestic products are also of high quality.”

BF Dear Hill´s new collection will be available in 65 districts, according to Upadhyay. The company has also launched four new models of netted and light weight sports shoes. They are priced between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000.
Another leading brand Shikhar Shoe has also introduced 15 new varieties of sandals for the summer. “We have introduced the sandals in very attractive designs. They are comfortable and available in two colors,” said Basu Dev Acharya, director of Shikhar Shoe.
The sandals are priced between Rs 800 and Rs 1,500.
Acharya said new collection of Shikhar Shoe will be available in 70 districts.
Likewise, Sunrise Footwear has introduced five new models of Takura brand of sandals. Nawaraj Gautam, managing director of Sunrise Footwear, said rise in the demand has prompted companies to introduced new varieties of sandals for the summer.
Takura sandals are priced between Rs 900 and Rs 1,500.
