The truck skidded off the road and fell into the river from Jyamirghat section of Prithvi Highway after it collided with a bus heading to opposite direction.
According to Binod Ghimire, an Inspector of the Area Police Office at Gajuri, the incident occurred as the speedy bus (Na 3 kha 9586) heading to Lahan from Kathmndu hit the unidentified truck at a corner of the road.
According to Ghimire, the ill-fated truck might have plunged into the deep river. Police said that they are unable to find the clue of the truck and yet to know how many people were traveling in the truck.
A group of police has already reached into the site.
