KATHMANDU, April 28: Artudio, along with Public Private Partnership members of Hand Washing Project, Pashupati Paints, Nanglo Bakery, and Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) organized a daylong event to restore and repaint the Street Art of Tri-Chandra College on Wednesday, April 25.

The wall was earlier painted by 650 school students, artists and volunteers on September 15, 2011 to spread the social message of Hand Washing among the people.[break]

Sadly, right after the project ended, the wall was overlapped with film posters, pamphlets and political slogans.

In order to restore the wall’s art, Artudio once again gathered volunteers to clean, whitewash and paint the wall.

The 17 finalists of this year’s Miss Nepal beauty pageant also joined in to repaint the wall.

Kailash K Shrestha from Artudio opines, “We’ve done our part, now it’s the responsibility of all to protect the wall. If we want to see our city clean, all of us, including KMC and the media, have to take action against polluters.”
