Trade Unions picket Chitwan DAO

CHITWAN, April 15: Different Trade Unions in Chitwan district picketed the District Administration Office (DAO) for an hour from 11 a.m. Friday saying the administration failed to arrest and take action against the murderers, involved in the killing of Bharat Ghimire, Manager of Jagadamba Petrol Pump at Ramnagar in Chitwan district. The Unions asked for the rightful compensation to the deceased´s family and take action against murderers after identifying the assailants at the earliest.



Different Trade unions close to the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML staged sit-in in front of the DAO.



An unidentified group had murdered Ghimire by opening fire on April 6 while he was working at his petrol pump.



Police have arrested six persons on the charge of their involvement in the murder case.



Local Administration said investigation into the incident is underway.
