Top three parties meet inconclusive

KATHMANDU, April 19: The top three parties meeting at Singha durbar on Tuesday convene by the Constitutional Committee’s (CC) Chairman Subhas Nembang with the plan to resolve the dispute in the CC meet raised by the lawmakers has failed to bring out any concrete solution due to the differing views of the political leaders.



However, the meet has forged an agreement to settle the disputes in the CC and address the lawmakers concerns. [break]



Lawmakers have been alleging that the big political parties are ignoring the fringe parties. They are also demanding that the new constitution should ensure the rights of the minority, dalit and muslim community.



After emerging from the meeting, Narayankaji Shrestha said that although the meet dwelt on the issues raised by the lawmakers, it failed to come up with the solution.



The leaders also decided to expedite the constitution drafting process.
