National champion Nabita Shrestha and Swetcha Nembang are on top of the table in women´s section, while national champion Shiva Shundar Gothe and Ajay Suwal are on top in the men´s section. [break]
Kajol Rauniyar and Renuka Khatri are occupy third and fourth positions in women´s category with seven wins each. Rajendra Kapali, who had won all four matches on the first day of the tournament, suffered a defeat on the second day and is in the third spot in men´s section with seven wins from eight matches.
In the women´s section, Nabita Shrestha defeated Sunita Lama 11-6, 13-11, 11-2 and Sabina Makhashya 11-4, 11-5, 11-7 on Tuesday. Shrestha then overpowered Selisha Khadgi 11-1, 11-2, 11-4 and defeated Sanisha Shrestha 11-2, 11-5, 11-7 in her last match of the day.
In the same way, second seeded Swetcha Nembang overcame Sonu Thapa 11-8, 11-8, 11-5, Reshma Rasaili 11-9, 11-6, 11-2. Nembang struggled in her third and fourthes match of the day as both the matches were decided in four sets. Nembang beat Ravian Desar 12-10, 8-11, 11-9, 11-7 and Ravina Maharjan 11-13, 11-9, 11-6, 11-7.
Elina Maharjan, who won all four matches on the first day, lost two matches on Tuesday, which left her behind Kajol Rauniyar and Renuka Khatri. Rauniyar defeated Maharjan in three straight sets and Khatri also produced identical results against her. Rauniyar and Khatri lost a match each on Tuesday.
Rauniyar registered victory over Norden Tamang and Sunita Lama in straight sets but lost the match against Erica Maharjan 2-3. Similarly, Khatri also defeated Reshma Rasaili 3-0 and Ravian Desar 3-1 but lost the match against Ravina Maharjan 2-3.

In the boys´ category, Shiva Shudar Gothe toiled hard to occupy the top spot. Gothe defeated Rakesh Maharjan 12-14, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9, 11-3 in the first match of the day. Gothe then beat Chandra Tamang 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 8-11, 11-3 and Pradip Roka 11-8, 11-7, 11-4. He registered a 11-8, 9-11, 7-11, 11-5, 11-9 win over Sonu Gupta in his last match of the day.
Similarly, second seed Ajay Suwal also fought hard to remain in second position. Suwal won two matches easily, while he had struggle hard to win the remaining two matches. Suwal defeated Sunil Maharjan and Amar Lal Malla in straight sets, but faced stiff resistance from Anish Shrestha and Ranjit Rayamajhi for victory. Suwal won both the matches against Shrestha and Rayamajhi winning three sets against two sets.
Rajendra Kapali lost to Purushottam Bajracharya but registered comprehensive victories over Surya Thapa, Deep Sanu and Chandan Shahi in straight sets.
