The dead are identified as Bum Bahadur Darlami (9), Dil Maya Darlami (7) and Bik Bahadur Darlami (4).
Jenisra Darlami, the mother of the deceased children too got seriously ill and is currently undergoing treatment in Lumbini Medical College.
According to the police, the father Thame Bahadur Darlami cooked the wild corn and fed the family.
A team of police has been sent to the village to get more information about the incident.
Bus kills a cyclist
RAJBIRAJ: A bus travelling from Rajbiraj to Siraha hit a cyclist, killing him on the spot in Maleth VDC of Saptari on Thrusday. The deceased as been identified as Mohammed Edrish (50) of ward no. 9 of Maleth.
The passenger bus was said to be traveling in a high speed causing the driver to lose control. Six people traveling in the bus, that veered 25 meters off the road, received incurred minor injuries.
The locals, in a fit of anger at the death of Edrish, vandalized and torched the bus. They have halted all forms of vehicular movement in the area to protest the incident.
According to Saptari Police Chief Sanjiv Sharm a large number of police personnel have been deployed at the accident site.
Lightning kills three of family
CHITWAN: Five people died and three others were injured after being struck by lightning in Bakhredanda of Makwanpur district Thursday, police said. Those dead have been identified as Chandra Bahadur Chitung, Kalimaya Ghalan, Kritimaya Ghalan, Chalmaya Lopchan, and Man Bahadur Ghalan. Three of those killed were from the same family.
