Three abductors killed in police action

NEPALGUNJ, July 6: Three persons involved in the abduction of five locals from Fattepur, Nepalgunj were killed in police action on Tuesday.



The police have also succeeded in detaining two abductors including the mastermind behind the abduction, Banke Superintendent of Police of Binod Ghimire said. [break]



Police personnel mobilized from Fattepur following a tip off that five locals including Ganesh Chamar, Purna Bahadur Khadka and CB Shah were abducted from Fattepur some 20 kilometers away from Nepalgunj on Sunday were engaged in firing with the abductors on Tuesday.



The abducted persons who were kept captive in a jungle after the abduction are reported to be in sound health.



The details are awaited as the police personnel mobilized for the rescue operation is yet to return.



The deceased are yet to be identified though they are reported to be from the Madhesi community, the police added.



All the abducted persons are reported from the affluent background. The primary investigation of the police said that they might have been abducted for handsome amount of ransom.
