District in-charge of the council Birendra Chaudhary confirmed that they were planning to train over 200 combatants. “The combatants have already reached the district for training,” said Chaudhary.
Chaudhary said they have started to train district level commanders in a village near Tulsipur. A conference of the council that concluded at Deukhuri earlier had passed Tharuhat Military Act-2066. “Combatants are being trained in accordance with the Act,” Chaudhary said.
Assistant Chief District Officer Radha Krishna Sharma, however, said that he had no information about the training.
