"He is eating normally and has not developed any damage to heart or brain due to the cardiac arrest,” Dr Rawat added. He stated that the advanced double-chambered pacemaker will work for at least 10 years. “He survived because he was brought to hospital on time and due to his tremendous will power,” he said.
Thapa, who served as prime minister six times, suffered a cardiac arrest while attending a joint meeting of RJP and Rastriya Prajantantra Party (RPP) at his party office in Naxal Saturday morning.
