Thapa, who shot the best card of his career on the first day, brought in a card of even-par 72 for a total of six-under par 138. [break]
Thapa carded birdies on 1, 2, and 7 to take the turn at 3-under 33 but he made bogey on the 10th hole and salvaged a birdie on the par-5 on the 12th hole but made double bogey on 14th hole and bogey on 17th stopped him from shooting another under par round.
Rajan Thapa pulled in the best card of the day two-under par-70 for a total of one-under par- 143. Deepak Thapa Magar and Nepal´s number one Shiva Ram Shrestha shared the third position with the total score of two-over par 146. Shiva Ram shot even-par 72, while Thapa Magar shot three over-par 75.
Umesh Nagarkoti (77) and Mani Rai of Dharan (72) are tied for the fifth position with the score of six-over 150, while Jayram Shrestha who shot two-over 74 is in seventh place with a total score of seven-over 151.
Rabi Khadka had a better round today an even-par 72 for a total of eight-over 152, he is placed eight. Surya Sharma and Sanjay Lama are tied for the ninth place with the total score of nine-over 153.
In amateur section, Ashish Pariyar shot five-over 77 today for a total of 11-over 155 to take two strokes lead over Tashi Tsering and Puskar Rajbahak. Tsering and Rajbhak both shot identical score on both rounds, today four-over 76 for a total score of 13-over 157. Dinesh Prajapati also survived the amateur cut at 14-over 158.
The final round of the 54-hole tournament is slated for Wednesday.
