“The violation of the code of conduct is rampant in the district, and the vehicles are being used in an uncontrolled manner. We will provide temporary registration for the vehicles being used for the poll purpose shortly,” said Chief District Officer, Anil Thakur.[break]
“It will help us monitor the activities of candidates, including how many vehicles they are using in the election campaign,” he added.
Siraha police chief , Purna Chandra Joshi, informed that the temporary registration number, would be provided to the vehicles for the poll purpose only after checking the documents , ownership certificates, and the receipt of custom duty payment if case of the vehicles with Indian number plates.
The District Election Office has also urged all the political parties and the candidates concerned to abide by the conduct of conduct.
The office has asked the stakeholders concerned to use the banners, pamphlets and vehicles as specified by the code to ensure free and fair election.
